Hull FC prop Lee Radford has ended talk about a cross-city move by signing a new two-year deal at the KC Stadium. Hull KR were along a number of clubs keen to land the 31-year-old former Bradford and England forward. And he is understood to have initially rejected the Black and Whites' first offer of a one-year contact. But, after finally signing, Radford admitted: "I am delighted to have secured my future with Hull FC. I've really enjoyed my rugby this year." Part of Hull-born Radford's new deal is that he will also see take up a role as the under-15s head coach at his hometown club. Radford has already spent considerable time coaching at amateur Rugby League side East Hull, who he guided to various titles. "I am very passionate about my coaching," he admitted. "This is a fantastic opportunity for me to develop as a coach and to share some of my knowledge with the young scholars. I am looking forward to playing a part in trying to develop the future stars of Hull FC ." Ahead of Saturday's final league game, when Hull take on beaten Challenge Cup finalists Leeds looking to deprive them of fourth place, Radford also admits he is excited about the future at first-team level. "When you look at the additions we have made to this year's squad and Richard Agar's plans for the future it really excites me," he said. "I want to be part of that squad, challenging for honours. "When you look at the injuries, particularly to Sean Long and Richard Horne this year, it is a credit to the squad that we are where we are in the league and we have got an opportunity on Saturday to take fourth spot." Agar added: "Lee Radford is a loyal club man. He is a player that is consistent and plays lots of minutes for us. "His experience in leadership is invaluable. I am delighted to have Lee's influence within our squad. "And his contribution to our scholarship is sure to have a significant benefit to the development of our young players."
