Kirmond played 16 games while on loan at Wakefield |
Huddersfield Giants have agreed with Wakefield to cut short the loan of back-row forward Danny Kirmond. The 25-year-old joined Wildcats on a season-long loan but is now available for the Giants in the play-offs. Giants managing director Richard Thewlis said: "We need to have as strong a squad as possible for the challenges ahead. "For Danny to be able to play a full part every training session with us is vital for him." Thewlis added: "The early release by Wakefield is very much appreciated by us all here." Kirmond joined the Wildcats on a season-long loan basis as part of the package that saw scrum-half Danny Brough sign for Giants in March earlier this year. Wildcats' chief-executive James Elston said: "Danny has been an excellent loan signing for the Wildcats and we'd like to place on record our appreciation of his service to our club. "We're in the process of rebuilding our team and will be concentrating on developing on our own young talent for the future. "We wish Danny every success for the future."
