Brown's Giants have won 15 league games this season |
Huddersfield Giants head coach Nathan Brown has praised the strength in depth of his squad. The Giants, who sit third in Super League, saw off Catalans Dragons 36-12 on Sunday despite missing Keith Mason, Paul Whatuira and David Faiumu. Brown told BBC Radio Leeds: "To be able to give Paul and Keith a rest and give other guys a chance was good for us. "What is really pleasing is the guys coming in are doing a great job and I can't ask for much more than that." The Giants have now won their last five league matches and are just two points behind second-placed Leeds Rhinos. Brown added: "Over the last few weeks we have been down to the bare bones, me and Paul Anderson [Assistant coach] almost had to put the boots back on. "Next week [away at Hull FC] we'll have some other changes and hopefully we can do well. "Thankfully we are coming through that now and starting to get them back and we've managed to keep on winning, which is a great sign. "The team is building nicely at the moment and our attack is clearly improving which is pleasing. "But we once again had our second-half lapse, which we have to improve on, and I think we still lack a bit of killer instinct at key times."
