Cudjoe's hat-trick keeps Huddersfield four points behind leaders St Helens |
Leroy Cudjoe's hat-trick sealed a fifth straight win for Huddersfield and kept alive their hopes of a top-two finish. Clint Greenshields dummied superbly to put Catalans up but Cudjoe touched down in the corner, before Dimitri Pelo went over on the left wing for the Dragons. David Hodgson squeezed over for the home side after the break and Cudjoe completed his treble after being sent through by a fine Luke Robinson pass. Brett Hodgson ended the game with four goals from seven attempts.
Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown: "Catalans have got some big blokes but I thought we handled them pretty well and everyone contributed. "If we win our share of games we will definitely finish in the top four. "And if Leeds and Saints lose a couple then we'll give ourselves a chance for a top-two finish. "We're just rolling on from week to week but the top four is certainly a realistic goal." Catalans coach Kevin Walters: "We've been a bit up and down with what we've been doing and I think that showed through. "We start to build some momentum and then we get knocked back a bit. "I don't think we have won three in a row all season and are back to square one again. "We're still alive, as a lot of other teams are as well, but it's not the end of the road for us in terms of the play-offs."
