Hodgson is the latest player to leave the relegated Reds |
Huddersfield have signed utility back David Hodgson from relegated Salford. The 26-year-old Great Britain international has signed a four-year contract to become the Giants fourth high-profile signing for next season.
"I see him on the wing initially but his versatility will be invaluable and he puts Chris Thorman under pressure at full-back," said coach Jon Sharp.
Luke Robinson has already joined from Salford, while Paul Whatuira and George Gatis have also signed.

The quartet replace Brad Drew, Paul Reilly, Chris Nero and Matt Gardner, while the future of the out-of-contract Robbie Paul is unsure.
Sharp added of Hodgson: "He's a proven player at the very highest level. He has speed and the ability to finish."
Hodgson became a free agent following Salford's relegation - but is sure he has made the right choice in joining Huddersfield.
"There's no doubt I've made the right choice, Huddersfield will be a major force in Super League in the years ahead," said Hodgson.
"I'll be joining some of my old Wigan Academy mates in Stephen Wild, Martin Aspinwall, Kevin Brown and Stuart Jones. I can't wait."
