Ferres moved to Castleford last season from Wakefield

Castleford Tigers coach Terry Matterson thinks prop forward Brett Ferres deserves an England call-up.

The 24-year-old, who has scored four tries for the Tigers this season, won four caps for England during the 2006 Federation Cup when he was at Bradford.

Matterson said: "Brett Ferres has been a real handful, he's playing some really good rugby.

"I'm surprised he's not in the English set-up. I don't think it will be long before they come for him."
