Tuson has only missed one Tigers game while on loan at the club |
Wigan Warriors' back-row forward Chris Tuson will remain on loan at Castleford Tigers on a week-by-week basis after agreeing to have his contract extended. Tuson, 20, who initially signed for Tigers on a month's loan in March, will be eligible for a 48-hour recall notice if required by Wigan. Cas boss Terry Matterson said: "I'm grateful to Wigan for allowing us to extend Chris's loan deal. "He has done a good job for us and he is a good prospect." Tuson, who has made five appearances since moving to The Jungle, has impressed Matterson while covering for injured players. The Tigers boss said: "We are getting some of our injured players back and some of our young players are developing well. "But Brett Ferres and Michael Shenton are still a few weeks away and we remain without long term casualties Dean Widders and Richard Owen." Meanwhile Kirk Netherton has signed a loan deal with Widnes which will keep the hooker at the Stobart Stadium until early June.
