Matterson's Tigers are currently eighth in Super League |
Castleford head coach Terry Matterson has said his side must improve their performances at the Jungle. The Tigers became the first ever team to win a Challenge Cup game by an extra-time golden point as they beat Halifax 35-34 at the weekend. Despite the win Matterson was not impressed with his side's showing. "We haven't played well at home for three games now, but at least we have won again at the Jungle," he told BBC Radio Leeds. Castleford return to Super League action on Friday night when they host champions Leeds Rhinos. Matterson added: "We need to get better. We have six days to prepare, so we'll dust ourselves down now and prepare for Leeds. "I think Leeds will have been sitting back giggling having watched this game against Halifax. "Our first two defeats at home this season were fair enough, we played well in those. "But the last two against against Wakefield and St Helens have been poor from us, so we need to put that right."
