McNamara eyes more Bulls signings

Bradford Bulls head coach Steve McNamara says the club will make more signings for next season.

The Bulls have already captured Glenn Hall from Manley, while Dave Halley and Andy Lynch have agreed new deals despite offers from elsewhere.

"We have plenty of irons in the fire but there is nothing to announce as yet," McNamara told BBC Radio Leeds.

"We have some good young boys in the squad too and we are looking for them to push through now too."

The West Yorkshire side currently sit 11th in Super League after their 44-18 home defeat by leaders St Helens on Sunday.

McNamara added: "Elliott Whitehead once again got another opportunity to show what he can do [against Saints] and there are a couple of other lads that are waiting to get an opportunity and they may well do that."

Meanwhile the club are sweating on the fitness of both Glenn Morrison and Julien Rinaldi who picked up injuries in the Saints' loss.

"Rinaldi and Morrison aren't looking good at the moment, so we'll have to wait and see and assess them to see how they go," said McNamara.

"But we should have the likes of [Matt] Cook, [Michael] Platt and [Paul] Sykes back for Friday night against Leeds."
