Bulls sign Hall from Sea Eagles

Bradford Bulls have signed Australian forward Glenn Hall, 28, from Manly Sea Eagles on a three-year deal starting from next season.

Hall was one of last year's Grand Final winners and was part of this season's World Club Challenge winning side.

"He is a tough player, certainly no nonsense, and he hits very hard," Bradford coach Steve McNamara told BBC Radio Leeds.

"He is in his prime currently and it's a great time to get him across."

McNamara added: "He can play both front and second row and is a middle unit type player. He is an aggressive player and gets good go-forward and gets quick play of the balls."

Hall could be reunited with former Sea Eagle Steve Menzies, who is believed to be staying on after his debut Super League season.

Hall said: "I'm looking forward to getting there, playing some consistent, tough football and stiffening up the middle of the ruck for the Bulls."

"Steve Menzies has got plenty of good things to say about the club and I met Steve Mac last year when he was over here with the England squad and he's a terrific man.

"I got on really well with him and then got a little bit of a taste of England and what it's all about when I was over there for the World Club Challenge earlier this season.

"I got to go visit Bradford while on a promotion, walked around, saw the ground, met some of the staff and players, like big Sammy Burgess, and it was all really impressive.

"I've some good friends in England too. Me and Wigan's Mark Riddell grew up together as kids, and I'm really looking forward to this chance."
