Solomona will have an operation on his shoulder on Saturday |
Bradford Bulls forward David Solomona has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. The 31-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the year, dislocated his shoulder for the second time at St Helens last month. Bulls coach Steve McNamara told the Bradford Telegraph & Argus: "Sol got referred to another specialist and the injury is pretty severe. "He could be out for six months, which is obviously really unfortunate." Solomona suffered the injury just three games into his latest comeback after dislocating his shoulder for the first time against Hull KR in February. McNamara added: "The rotator cuff has been pulled right off and it needs to be stitched back on. | 606: DEBATE |
"It's a pretty rare injury but it's going to finish him for the rest of the season. "I'm really disappointed as I was hoping he would make a strong contribution for us this year and it's just not happened for him." Solomona is the second Bradford player to be ruled out for the rest of the season after teenage centre Jason Crookes suffered a cruciate injury at Wakefield and went in for surgery on his knee on Monday.
