Bulls too strong for Broncos
Bradford Bulls' Michael Withers
Michael Withers scored two tries for the Bulls
Bradford 46-14 London

Bradford returned to winning ways with a comfortable eight-try victory over the London Broncos.

The Super League champions had to overcome a jittery start after London twice took the lead in an evenly-contested first half.

But two tries in four minutes just before the break eased the anxiety of the Bulls fans and they finished in style with six second-half tries.

Although Paul Deacon gave his side the lead with a fourth-minute penalty, the Broncos made the more impressive start.

After conceding 94 points in their last two games, Bulls coach Brian Noble rang the changes, dropping three players and relegating skipper Robbie Paul to the bench.

The Broncos scored two early tries through Richard Marshall and Mat Toshack with full-back Paul Sykes, a former Bradford player, converting both to give the Broncos a 12-10 lead.

But Leon Pryce handed the stand-off role in preference to Paul, twice jinked his way over for tries, the second while London were down to 12 men following the sin-binning of Marshall for holding down in the tackle.

Unopposed

The Broncos were back to strength, though, when full-back Michael Withers tookadvantage of some weak tackling to force his way over from 10 metres.

It was his 15th try of the season.

London pulled two points back with a 52nd-minute penalty from Sykes but conceded a fourth try four minutes later through James Lowes.

Things got worse for London when Nathan McAvoy went over unopposed for the first of his two late tries.

Withers and Tevita Vaikona added to London's misery with further late scores as Bradford wrapped up a comfortable win.
