Last-gasp Bulls down Hull
Michael Withers
Withers' late drop goal saved the Bulls from defeat
Hull 24-25 Bradford

Michael Withers kicked a dramatic drop goal as Super League leaders Bradford snatched a stunning victory over Hull at the Boulevard.

Toa Kohe-Love looked to have claimed a draw as he capped a brilliant Hull fight-back by completing his hat-trick in the dying moments.

The Bulls seemed to have the game wrapped up as they built-up a 24-10 lead with 12 minutes to go.

But a Matt Crowther try sparked a sensational late revival that saw the game come to life with two Kohe-Love scores.

However, Bradford managed to keep their cool in the face of the onslaught to win the game with Withers' late act.

Bradford had started the game brightly with a couple of early bursts but it was the home side that scored the first point of the night through a Crowther penalty.

Their lead lasted little longer than three minutes as the Bulls powered back to the other end.

Toa Kohe-Love
Kohe-Love gave Hull hope in the second half

Paul Deacon put up a high kick to the corner and Tevita Vaikona jumped to punch the ball into the arms of Leon Pryce, who finished ruthlessly from 10 metres.

But Hull proved they could be just as clinical when Richard Horne laid off to Kohe-Love with a brilliantly disguised pass that allowed the Kiwi to step inside and slide in by the posts.

Crowther's conversion re-established Hull's two-point advantage but again it was to prove short-lived due to a brilliant try from Robbie Paul.

Deacon's conversion was his 100th goal of the season and he added two more penalties to Crowther's one before the break.

The Bulls capitalised immediately on a Mackay knock-on in the second haf as Vaikona set up the powerful Stuart Fielden for a try that gave the visitors breathing space.

It was a great effort to get within a kick of winning the game but we just didn't have enough time to get in that last play
Hull coach Shaun McRae

Hull's task became a little harder as Deacon added yet another penalty but Crowther restored hope as he took a Mackay pass to sprint over in the corner.

The try brought the game alive and moments later another fine move saw the ball spun wide for Kohe-Love to touch down.

Crowther's conversion cut the deficit to four points and for the first time Bradford seemed rattled.

Hull continued to press on the gas and were instantly rewarded as another attack eventually saw Kohe-Love go over for his third in the corner on the last tackle.

Crowther could have won the game but pushed his touchline conversion attempt wide and Withers took advantage to win the game himself with just 50 seconds remaining.
