York City Knights ready for play-off charge at Oldham
Woods has guided the Knights to 5 wins in 7 games
York City Knights have a near-full squad available for the qualifying semi-final against Oldham on Sunday.
Only Tom Lineham is definitely ruled out while Mike Mitchell is expected to be fit despite a hip problem.
Oldham start as favourites for the tie but Knights coach Dave Woods told BBC Radio York that is not an issue.
"We don't mind going there. We know their strengths and their weaknesses. We've just got to make sure we take advantage of those," he said.
York won at Oldham in May but lost the return fixture at the Huntington Stadium in August.
Woods continued: "We'd probably be more worried if we were playing them away because their record away is 100% which is unusual.
"Last time we played them we didn't look after the key men and we allowed them to dominate the play and the score ran away towards the end.
"We've got a lot of improvement from then and we can improve where that was mainly their top squad. We're not phased by going there."
The winners of the game will go straight through to the grand final on 26 September while the losers will play in the final eliminator against either Blackpool or Rochdale on 19 September.
Woods added: "It's a different type of footy because everyone knows it could be their last game.
"We've got to make sure we come up with the right decisions and don't think we're going to score all the time and be doing fancy stuff.
"It might be boring to watch but if you get the win it doesn't matter how you get it."
