York City Knights moved back up to third in Championship One with a dramatic 18-16 win at South Wales.
Matt Duckworth, Chris Thorman and Jack Lee's tries set up a tense finish as the Knights needed a late Danny Ratcliffe penalty to secure the win.
Knights coach Dave Woods told BBC Radio York: "They did it real tough, but it was really pleasing for the boys, they stuck at it right to the end.
"South Wales were throwing everything at us because they needed the points."
The Knights plan to complain to the RFL about an incident in which South Wales prop Gil Dudson allegedly took out the coach's son Scott Woods after the ball had been kicked.
It doesn't matter what position we finish, we've got to still win games to get through to the Grand Final

"It was a blatant elbow," the coach added, "and it was late. None of the [on-field] officials could see it [but] the fourth official saw it," as did Radio York summariser Andy Atkinson who highlighted it in the commentary.
Woods was taken to hospital for precautionary X-rays but was later released, and his father was full of praise for the players who had to cover for him.
"Chris Thorman had to take a lot on when Scott went off so early and Paul Stamp was still trying to find his feet. He filled in there for us today and he did a good job for us."
The Knights end their league fixtures in third place, but Rochdale can dump them back into fourth if they beat Blackpool in their last game.
"We just wanted a performance for ourselves. Hopefully we can finish in that third spot but we're in the semis," Woods added.
"It doesn't matter what position we finish, we've got to still win games to get through to the Grand Final."
