Dave Woods is already in talks with players for next season |
York City Knights assistant coach Chris Thorman will go straight back into the side for their trip to Hunslet in Championship 1. Thorman missed last week's win over Doncaster after his wife gave birth. Danny Allan and forward Brett Waller also return to the squad following their recent injuries. Knights coach Dave Woods told BBC Radio York: "Chris will come straight back into the halves but we'll lose Dennis Tuffour who has been recalled by Hull." Woods added there would be further changes due to centre Lee Waterman's injury. "His foot is in a pot and he's got that on for three weeks. He's got a chipped bone in his ankle from the weekend. He'll be a loss for us. "It's a place we need some players brought in. We're working on that at the moment for next year. "We've got young Ed Smith but he's still not ready for it and this would be a big game for him so we're not going to bring him in this week. "It looks like we'll have Danny Allan back this week. He's trained full contact so he'll probably be back so there may be an option where we put him in there. "He can keep rotating with Danny Ratcliffe because either of them can play ball player or ball runner so that might be an option plus it'll strengthen our defence up there. "James Haynes will just slot straight back to full back which is his position and Danny Wilson will go up onto the wing. It's not really disruptive."
