York City Knights have re-signed Dan Walton for the 2010 season. The 19-year-old back-row forward has impressed for the Knights' reserve team this season. He was also part of the squad that reached the knock-out stages in the Northern Rail nines in Blackpool earlier this year. "We are very pleased that Dan has re-signed. He has been very consistent for the reserves all season," Knights coach James Ratcliffe said. "He works extremely hard both on and off the field. "Another full pre-season will do him good and I'm sure that he will get some opportunities to stake his claim for a first-team place next season."
