Knights seek more reinforcements

York City Knights
York are still looking to add to their squad

York City Knights coach James Ratcliffe has not ruled out bringing more new players to the club.

Ratcliffe has strengthened since becoming head coach in July and his work might not be finished.

"There's nothing definite but there's one or two lads that we're still looking at and they're quality players," he told BBC Radio York.

"It's a matter of bringing in players that we think will do a job for us and hopefully to the Grand Final."

Ratcliffe added: "Two or three coaches in this division have said they're down to their last 18 or 19 players. We're not in that position.

"I think last year we probably got caught out with that when both Paul and David (March) got suspended.

"So we've got plenty to choose from and it's a good headache to have and maybe we've not even finished as yet."

The Knights have three games remaining in Championship 1 this season. Their next fixture is against London Skolars on 16 August, at 1400 BST.
