York City Knights coach James Ratcliffe said there is no exodus from the club after three players left. Prop Danny Ekis, winger Wayne McHugh and prop Scott Woodcock have all joined Hunslet, with Woodcock absent on a month-long loan. Ratcliffe told BBC Radio York: "There's no mass exodus, the lads are more than happy to be at York. "It may look like that but anybody who has heard the guys singing and shouting knows we're back on the wagon." Ratcliffe explained: "Danny's not been around for a couple of months and he's had a few things at home to deal with. "He felt that he didn't want to be at York anymore so it's rightly so that we did some kind of deal with Hunslet that he's gone to Hunslet. "Likewise with Wayne, he's been hit and miss with his training so it's up to him. There's no point keeping people here if they don't want to be at the club. "Scott Woodcock, we've done well by him because he's not missed a training session. He's played very well in the 21's and he wants to play first-team football. "So an opportunity arose for a month. It means that we keep him fresh. If we do get any injuries going in to the play offs we can always call him back for that last month. "We've done proud by Scott and he's kept his part of the bargain." The Knights are second in Championship One after their 30-26 win at Swinton.
