Nixon scored 29 tries for Barrow in 2008

Barrow Raiders winger James Nixon has rejected rumours of a move to Super League side Harlequins by signing a new two-year deal with the club.

"I sat down with James this morning to iron out the final details. He is part of the future of the club," said chairman Des Johnston.

Nixon becomes the fifth member of the squad to sign a new deal with the Craven Park club this season.

The winger scored 29 tries as Barrow won promotion to National One.
