London Skolars clinched their first ever win over the Celtic Crusaders with a shock Northern Rail Cup victory away at the Brewery Field on Saturday.

Crusaders led 14-12 with just two minutes left only for Skolars' Jermaine Coleman to go over to level things.

Paul Thorman held his nerve in terrible conditions with the conversion to seal a deserved win for the visitors.

Crusaders were in control at half-time as Neil Budworth, Jordan James and Ben Flower scored before Skolars' hit back.

After the break Wayne Kerr went over for the visitors, adding to first-half tries from Austin Aggrey and Namila Davui.

That put Skolars within touching distance and Coleman's last-gasp effort kept their Northern rail Cup hopes alive following last week's win at Sheffield Eagles.

The drama did not end with Coleman's try, however, as Crusaders thought they had won the game back when Josh Hannay went over the line with just three seconds left, only to be called back for a forward pass.
