Van Rensburg goes straight into the Crusaders team

The 31-year-old back-rower made his debut as a trialist for the Crusaders in Sunday's 50-18 victory over Workington Town.

He will make his full debut in Friday's National League Two match against London Skolars at Bridgend.

"Shawn is a powerful runner and a good ball carrier," said Crusaders chief executive Chris O'Callaghan.

"He had a baptism of fire last week on a long tough trip to Workington and did enough to impress us."

South African Van Rensburg made two appearances as a replacement for the Dragons this season after joining the region in January.
