New Zealand call-up for Fa'afili
Warrington winger Henry Fa'afili
Fa'afili joined the Wolves from the New Zealand Warriors in July
Warrington winger Henry Fa'afili has been called-up to the New Zealand squad for the Tri-Nations series.

The 24-year-old, who was not named in the original New Zealand party, will join up with the squad as a replacement for Lesley Vainikolo.

Vainikolo will play for New Zealand against Australia on Saturday but will then undergo knee surgery.

Fa'afili scored a hat-trick of tries for the Kiwis in the first Test against Great Britain in 2002.

He joined Warrington from the New Zealand Warriors in July on a three-year deal and after he was granted an early release, he played in the final seven games of the Super League season - scoring four tries.

Meanwhile New Zealand coach Daniel Anderson has decided to operate with a 24-man squad after utility back Motu Tony opted not to join the squad.

Tony, who has recently signed for Hull, played in the draw with Australia last weekend but has stayed behind to be with his wife and new-born baby.

"We half expected it to be that way," said team manager Gordon Gibbons. "We totally respect his decision. His heart wants to be with his family."
