Podium place for Cameron Thomas at Welsh Championships

Thomas won six national titles during the 2009 season

Torquay's Cameron Thomas secured a podium place at the Welsh Dry Ski Slope Championships in Pontypool.

The 12-year-old, from Torquay Alpine Ski Club, came second in the Welsh Open behind James Sieber from Aldershot and ahead of Ireland's Cormac Comerford.

Thomas also finished second in the Welsh National Race, won by Gloucester's Brodie Goddard Jones.

Thomas is next in action at the Irish and European Dry Slope Championships, held near Dublin in early October.
