Gillings has set her sights on a medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics

Britain's Zoe Gillings missed out on a medal in the Snowboard World Championships in Gangwon, Korea.

The 23-year-old snowboard-cross rider from the Isle of Man has had three top-six finishes on the World Cup circuit this season but could only manage 11th.

Gillings fought her way into the lead in her heat before crashing just before the finish line.

"This is a disappointing result for me but I'm now focusing on the X-Games (in Aspen, Colorado)," Gillings said.

Norway's Helene Olfasen claimed victory in the ladies final, while Austria's Markus Schairer won the men's event.
