Kennedy, was the American League championship series MVP. The deal is worth $2.2m, according to reports. "Adam was a key part of our success last season," said Angels general manager Bill Stoneman. "His post-season performance reinforced the quality of player we believed Adam to be." Kennedy had the seventh best batting average in the league last season, hitting .312. In game five of the AL title series against Minnesota, he became only the sixth player in major league history to score three home runs in a post-season game. |
