Don won the world title in Switzerland last year |
Defending champion Tim Don heads the British squad for the 2007 Triathlon World Championships, which begin in Hamburg on 31 August. The 29-year-old, one of Britain's few realistic medal contenders at the 2008 Olympics, has returned to form after a foot injury earlier this year.
World and European Under-23 champion Will Clarke has also been picked, for his first senior championship.
The 22-year-old is considered a leading hope for gold at the London 2012 Games.
Veterans Michelle Dillon and Andrea Whitcombe have been selected for the GB women's team.
Dillon, 34, won the London Triathlon while Whitcombe, 36, was second at the national championships.
Both have medal chances although reigning champion Emma Snowsill from Australia and Portugal's Vanessa Fernandes are expected to fight it out for gold.
European champion Alistair Brownlee, 19, will defend his world crown in the junior race.
Other European champions who will be representing the Corus Great Britain team in Hamburg include Hollie Avil (junior girls), Ritchie Nicholls (Under-23 men) and Rosie Clarke (Under-23 women).
