| Andrea Whitcombe was the only British competitor to finish the second event of the 2007 BG Triathlon World Cup series in Ishigaki, Japan. Whitcombe battled against unpredictable weather conditions to take 23rd place, adding to her Olympic qualifying points total ahead of Beijing 2008. Portugal's Vanessa Fernandes saw off Aussie world number one Emma Snowsill to win the women's race. The men's event was won by Australia's Courtney Atkinson.
