Swimmer Jo Jackson is aiming for gold medals in 2010
Jackson was the most successful British swimmer at a World Championships
North Yorkshire's Olympic medallist Jo Jackson is hoping for more medal successes in 2010.
She followed up her bronze in the Beijing Olympics in 2008 with two silvers and a bronze at the 2009 World Championships in Rome.
The 400 metre freestyle champion told BBC Radio York: "It's just going great.
"Hopefully I can get back into training, get my fitness back up and continue with my success at the World Long Course and Commonwealth Games."
Jackson is the British and European 400 metre freestyle champion and she set a new world record in the event in 2009.
She added: "It's just been going from strength to strength really. I've had a great couple of years.
"Over the last year it's gone great for me obviously winning the three medals at the World Championships and it's just going great."
Despite winning the bronze medal in Beijing she admitted her achievements at the World Championships have been a highlight for her.
"Getting one at the Olympics was absolutely great and I was so excited and happy to get that achievement.
"But then coming from the year after and getting three - I just hope I can continue on that and with London 2012 coming up, I can continue growing in the sport and in swimming and succeed in what I want to there."
Jackson said she is now hoping to strike gold in 2010.
"I hope that I can get back to fitness levels over the next few months and have a great trials and swim really well at Europeans and hopefully try and bring some medals back.
"And then, go to the Commonwealth Games with a lot of confidence and just see how things get on, hoping my times are really good and I can bring some medals home."
