 Katie Speller set a new Island Games record in the 400m individual medley |
Jersey swimmer Katie Speller set a new games record in taking the gold medal in the women's 400m individual medal at the Island Games in Aland. Speller beat the Isle of Man's Olivia Rawlinson by eight seconds to come home four minutes, 52.29 seconds. She also took silver in the women's 200m freestyle and was part of 4x50m freestyle relay team that won silver. Emma Glendening, Ebony Jacklin, Iona Richardson and Speller lost out on gold to the Faroe Islands by 1.13 seconds.
