Guernsey's Robyn Le Friec has narrowly won gold in the women's 100m butterfly final at the Island Games in Aland. Le Friec, 19, edged out Bjorg Seloy from the Faroe Islands over the two lengths by just 0.57 seconds. Le Friec's gold is the second for Guernsey in the pool with Ben Lowndes winning the men's 200m butterfly. Lotte Parfit, 14, continued Guernsey's strong start in the pool, securing the bronze medal in the women's 400m individual medley. Lowndes also won bronze in the 50m backstroke, completing a length of the pool in 27.23 seconds. Further swimming medals came from Jonathan Le Nuory, 25, who won bronze in the men's 1500m freestyle. Le Nuroy was beaten into third place by Jersey's John Gallichan who claimed the silver medal with Pal Joensen from the Faroe Islands winning gold.
