Nick Taylor wins silver in Manchester

Jersey squash player Nick Taylor lost in the final of the over-35 age group final at the England national championships in Manchester.

Jersey's director of squash and head coach lost 5-9, 2-9, 9-1, 9-2, 9-1 to former world number three Simon Parke.

Taylor told BBC Radio Jersey: "Today's final was one much too far.

"I'm a little bit disappointed not being able to it off, but all credit to Simon Parke, he kept the pressure up and brought me down in the end."

However Taylor said he was pleased to take the silver medal.

"I actually had a really good week - I haven't really been training that much so to make it to the final is great."
