Adrian Lihou made up for falling at the final hurdle in last year's Guernsey Snooker Open to win the 2009 title. Lihou beat Darren Hughes in straight frames to seal the title, having got the better of Rik De Garis in his semi. But Lihou's biggest test was arguably his 2-0 first round win against the man who beat him in last year's final, league champion Martyn Desperques. And to cap off a historic win Lihou beat island captain Adam Shorto in the quarter finals.
