Guernsey's Martyn Desperques beat Adam Shorto 5-4 in the Individual League snooker final on Tuesday. Desperques set the early pace, but Shorto fought back from 3-1 down to level it 4-4 before the final frame. Desperques started brightly with a 29, and later added breaks of 24 and 35 to clinch it. The win secured him a place alongside professionals John Higgins and Shaun Murphy in June's World Series of Snooker event at Fort Regent, Jersey.
