Jersey's 247 CVS won the snooker Upton Cup when they beat Guernsey Gremlin Galacticos by two frames on Saturday. Jersey's Aaron Caravan won the crucial game when he beat Sarnian Paul Le Sauvage 3-0 in the final match. Caravan also won the Channel Island Individual Snooker Championship on Friday, the first time in six years the title has gone to a Jersey man. Jersey completed a clean sweep on the baize by winning the billiards inter-insular 3-2. In the snooker Garry Britton won 3-0 for Jersey before Chris Alexander was beaten by Guernsey captain Adam Shorto 3-0 Jersey's Dave Snell lost 2-1 to Adrian Lihou to give Jersey a 7-5 win overall, and the inter-insular title. In billiards there were wins for Robbie Kilpatrick, Guy Hayes and Mick Moreira to secure the trophy for Jersey. The Channel Island Individual Billiards Championship will take place on Saturday, 26 April.
