Desperques has to wait to discover who he plays in the final

Martyn Desperques had to fight up until the final frame of the Individual Snooker League semi-final to secure victory over John Skillett on 2 April.

The favourite took an early lead before Skillett levelled the game 2-2.

Desperques took the fifth frame and looked to have the match wrapped up in the sixth but a missed pink allowed Skillett to draw level once more.

In the final frame Desperques stayed calm to roll in a long red and set up a match-winning break for a 4-3 victory.

Desperques will face either Glenn Le Prevost or Adam Shorto in the final which will provisionally be held on 28 April.
