 Luna Rossa are on course for a shock series win over Oracle |
Italians Luna Rossa turned up the heat on US favourites BMW Oracle after moving into a 3-1 lead in their Louis Vuitton Cup semi-final in Valencia. Australian James Spithill guided Luna Rossa to a 23-second win in the fourth race in the best-of-nine series.
"We have confidence in the crew and the boat and we are determined to turn it around," said Oracle's Peter Isler. "There is still a long way to go."
In the other contest, Team New Zealand lead Spain's Desafio Espanol 3-1.
The two winners will face each other for the right to challenge America's Cup holders Alinghi at the end of June.
