Jean Davies has been coaching netball to youngsters for 30 years

St Austell netball coach Jean Davies has been crowned the 2010 England Netball Coach of the Year.

Davies, who has been coaching the sport for 30 years, was recognised at the Netball Golden Globes awards ceremony in Leicester.

The Saints coach was competing against nine other regional winners for the prestigious accolade.

The judges said Davies was given the award for her outstanding contribution to development at the club.
