Former Plymouth Argyle striker Barry Hayles has joined Truro City on a one-month non-contract basis.
The 38-year-old has made over 500 appearances during his career, scoring 181 goals in the process.
Hayles, who played alongside Tigers boss Lee Hodges for two seasons at Argyle, is set to make his debut for Truro against Bideford on Tuesday.
Hodges said: "Barry will bring something a little bit different to the side and he is a leader on the pitch."
"He will close down the centre halves and bring that strength and a bit more experience, plus hopefully a few goals as well," continued Hodges.
Hayles has been without a club since being released by Cheltenham Town at the end of last season, where he scored seven goals in 39 games.
