Truro City were held to an away draw in Hertfordshire by hardworking Hemel Hempstead Town.

The Tigers started the Southern Premier League fixture brightly, taking an early lead through a Martin Watts free- kick after only eight minutes.

But Hemel were quickly back on level terms, Dennis Fennemore providing the equaliser in the 18th minute.

Both sides pressed for the winner in the second half, but the match ended in a stalemate.

The result leaves Truro fourth in the league standings, while Hemel Hempstead drop down to seventh.
