St Austell have reduced the gap between themselves and leaders Hayle in the Cornish Netball First Division after a convincing win over Connect 1.

St Austell beat Connect 1 47-24 on Tuesday evening to move up to 31 points in the league after seven games, nine points behind Hayle.

Tuesday's other fixture saw Predators claim their first win of the season, as they beat Lastonet 24-23.

That result sees Predators move off the bottom of the league table.

The league's next fixture sees Penryn 1 host St Austell 3 on Wednesday evening.
