Wightlink Raiders boss eyeing Invicta Raiders scalp
Wightlink Raiders coach Jeremy Cornish says Invicta Dynamos remain the team to beat in Division One South.
League leaders Raiders host the defending champions on Saturday, with second-placed Invicta trailing by five points with three games in hand.
"This will be the biggest game of the year, they're the team to beat," Cornish told BBC Radio Solent.
"Everyone is gunning for them, and we want to crush them at our own rink."
Raiders beat third-placed Chelmsford Chieftains 8-3 last weekend to extend their unbeaten league run to 12 games.
"The win builds confidence and shows that no one wants to come to our rink. It gave us more belief ahead of the Dynamos game," added Cornish.
"But it hasn't lessened the pressure because they still have three games in hand so they'll still be on top of us and we still need to keep on winning.
"I can't relax until the end of the season, I'm not built like that.
"There's lots of games to go and it's all still to play, so neither the players nor I can rest especially with Invicta, Chelmsford and Romford Raiders behind us in the league."
