Simon Anderson wants consistent Swindon Wildcats

Swindon Wildcats

Swindon assistant coach Simon Anderson is calling on his players to be more consistent to secure their place in the end of the season play-offs.

The top eight qualify for the play-offs and Wildcats are currently seventh in the EPL, three points clear of ninth-placed Telford.

Anderson told the club website: "We know we are a good hockey team.

"We have definitely improved - we know what we are capable of and we just need to go on another run again."

Swindon lost 6-2 at Slough last Sunday to end a run of five games without a regulation time defeat.

I think Bracknell will be a fantastic game, some of our guys have played for Bracknell and that adds spice to it

"We will just get back to the way we know we can play," added Anderson.

"I don't think there's anybody in the dressing room who thinks they played well on Sunday, but we have great potential to be a very good team in this league."

The Wildcats have back-to-back matches this weekend - at home to basement club Bracknell on Saturday and on-the-road in Basingstoke on Sunday, who have won their last nine home games.

Anderson continued: "I think Bracknell will be a fantastic game, some of our guys have played for Bracknell and that adds spice to it.

"They're down the lowers end of the table and we want to be pulling away from them."
