Swindon Wildcats have signed Swedish forward Jonas Hoog following the recent departure of Estonia's Toivo Suursoo.

The 24-year-old winger has an impressive points return from his time in the Swedish Division One.

"It has taken time getting him to Swindon but I am sure he will be worth the wait," said Wildcats head coach Ryan Aldridge.

"He is a younger guy that should bring energy to our line up. It's clear to see he knows how to put the puck away."

Aldridge continued: "This is not the first time I have spoken to Jonas, in fact it's the third time this season and I am delighted to have him put pen to paper.

"He also comes highly recommended by players that know the league [in Sweden]."

Hoog is due to arrive in the UK on Boxing Day and will make his debut once his registration has been accepted by the sport's governing authorities.
