 Craig Peacock equalised for the Giants with 11 minutes left |
Belfast Giants beat Elite League title rivals Nottingham Panthers in a penalty shoot-out on Friday night. Jon Gleed put the visitors ahead after 11 minutes but the Panthers hit back with two goals from David Clarke. Nottingham opened up a 3-1 lead with Jade Galbraith's strike before Josh Prudden pulled one back and Craig Peacock levelled after 49 minutes. Overtime failed to separate the sides so it went to a penalty shoot-out with the Giants prevailing.
