Hull Stingrays rounded off a hectic Christmas period with a 6-1 home win over Dundee in the Elite League.
The victory gave Hull five points from six over Christmas following a win and overtime loss against Newcastle.
Coach Sylvain Cloutier scored twice against the Scottish club and was happy with his team's holiday haul.
"Sure we'd have liked six points, but five keeps us going forward and chasing hard to get in sixth place," he told BBC Radio Humberside.
Canadian defenceman Trevor Read, with his third goal of the season, gave Stingrays a seventh-minute lead against Dundee with the only score in the first period.
Cloutier capitalised on an error from former Stingrays' goaltender Ladislav Kudrna to make it 2-0 with a short-handed strike in the 25th minute.
Andrew Coburn, with his third goal in two games, made it 3-0 eight minutes later, firing home the loose puck.
Stars' player-coach Dan Ceman pulled a goal back two minutes seconds into the final period, but Stingrays immediately responded with Cloutier claiming his second.
Jason Silverthorn made it 5-1 on a delayed penalty goal with a tap in before Dundee's frustrations boiled over as they took 44 penalty minutes in the final 11 minutes, a period which also saw two fights break out.
Hull captain Kurtis Dulle notched a sixth on the powerplay via a huge deflection, as Stingrays bounced back from their 3-2 home overtime loss to Newcastle Vipers.
