 Action from the Odyssey Arena as the Belfast Giants beat Dundee Stars in a shootout The Belfast Giants overcame Dundee Stars 2-1 after a shootout in Thursday night's Elite League/Challenge Cup fixture at the Odyssey Arena. After a scoreless first period, Gary Wishart put Dundee ahead early in the second period but Brett Hemingway levelled in the third period. Overtime failed to yield a goal so it took a Colin Shields goal in the shootout to ensure Belfast's success. The Giants travel to play Dundee in the Elite League on Sunday.
