The Belfast Giants remain at the top of the Elite League after edging out the Sheffield Steelers 6-5 in Sunday's encounter in England. Mark Garside netted for the visitors and Ashley Tait equalised before Josh Prudden, Brett Hemingway and Jon Gleed put Belfast 4-1 ahead. Robert Dowd and Ben Simon reduced the gap to one only for Prudden and Mike Bayrack restore the three-goal lead. Rod Sarich and Jeff Legue goals set up a tense finale but Belfast held on. The victory follows the 5-2 win over the Cardiff Devils at the Odyssey on Saturday night.
