Nottingham Panthers have agreed a deal to sign American forward Rob Bellamy as a replacement for Robert Liscak. AHL star Bellamy will join the club as soon as the paperwork is finalised but is unlikely to arrive until next week. Player coach Corey Neilson said: "Robert came in on a trial basis and we'd like to thank him for his efforts. "We need someone to do the Jay Henderson role, and when Jay's injury took him out of our plans for the time-being, it left a hole." Neilson added: "Rob played for Philadelphia and Adirondack. He comes highly recommended for the job we need doing by his last coach, he fore-checks and skates well. He hits like a tank. "He very much isn't a 'Corey Neilson' kind of forward but he is the piece we need for our jigsaw and he's just what the doctor ordered."
