Belfast Giants secured a 4-2 victory over defending Elite League champions Coventry Blaze on Saturday night.

Russ Cowley gave the Blaze a third minute lead at the Odyssey but Mike Hoffman levelled before Tim Cook put Belfast ahead on 21 minutes.

Craig Peacock made it 3-1 and Greg Owen to pulled one back for the visitors before Mike Bayrack sealed the points in the final minute.

The sides clash again in England on Sunday at 1830 BST.
